This is the SAFEST way to buy a second hand car in Spain. The information that the VIC provides is a “live” information print-out from the Jefatura Provincial de Trafico (UK equivilent to the DVLA)
It shows all vehicle details including *first registration date of vehicle

- name and address of current owner
- full vehicle specifications
- fuel type and engine size
- any debts registered
- any finance registered
- number of keepers
- ITV(MOT) information pass/fail dates and expiry dates
- Vehicle history regarding importation
The VIC is also used when any original spanish documentation is lost or stolen. This is not used as a replacement for original documentation but is necessary for replacements to be obtained.
